IMO it’s a pretty cool piece of history! Not into military stuff too much so not sure why this particular bag seems to be a bit scarce? Obviously other pretty similar but I had a hard time finding very many of this particular number. Anyhoo see below for info ..
➖Bag came from the estate of an elderly neighbor of my Dad.
➖Believe from the amount of dust & debris on & inside, it had long been stored away in his barn or garage.
➖Measures approx 13”x9.5”x13”.
A bit hard to measure -I did my best to get as close as I could. Those would be measurements w/the bag not being stuffed w/anything.
➖With strap it weighs 3lbs.
➖Leather reinforcements on bottom corners.
➖Bottom of bag is padded.
➖Obviously this bag was well used.
➖Areas of wear, stains, tarnish on the metal, wear/tearing on main strap & one of the straps to the smaller compartment on top.
➖No major rips or holes in the bag itself.
➖I didn’t wash/scrub anything -I did vacuum it the best I could inside & out tho I doubt I got all the dust.
➖Surprisingly it DOESN’T stink. I’m not saying it’s fresh as a daisy. It HAS been sitting around a LONG while so you could expect if you were to stick your nose down in it, it might have “some”sort of smell. But I have a pretty sensitive sniffer & didn’t really notice enough of anything that I’d need to mention it.
