Original Medal for the Eastern Front (Medal for the Crusade against Communism - Medalia Cruciada Împotriva Comunismului),
Circular bronze medal instituted April 1, 1942 and awarded to military and civilians who had distinguished themselves in the battles on the Eastern front.
Obverse shows a hand holding an upright sword
imposed on a Greek cross and with the date ‘1941’ and inscribed CRUCIADA IMPOTRIVA COMUNISMULUI (Crusade against Communism). The reverse has a female head and inscription ‘ROMANIA RECUNOSCATOARE (Romania Acknowledges), engraver signature under head P. GRANT.
It is on a replaced correct ribbon.
