    Description

HIGH QUALITY MEDAL - Rare "Proof" Version
    1939 NEW YORKS WORLD'S FAIR -
BRONZE MEDAL IN SUPPORT OF CZECHOSLOVAKIA
    - AFTER ITS ANNEXATION BY THE NAZIS
    - This medal was handed out (or sold) at the Czechoslovak Pavilion at the 1939 NY Worlds Fair, in support of Czechoslovakia.  Otherwise, the Pavilion remained empty as a start reminder of the takeover.
    - In addition to the matte version, this medal was also produced in this second version which I call the "Proof" version.  This version is smoother and shinier than the regular strike.  It is more scarce...
After the betrayal of the Munich Pact, Winston Churchill put it to Chamberlain:
    “You were given the
    choice
    between
    war
and dishonor. You chose dishonor, and you will have
    war."
This medal is in great quality, made by the Medallic Art Company, or MACO as some call it.  Maker's Mark on the edge of the medal.
