Western Stoneware Monmouth Maple Leaf Trinket Dish. Bought from the Monmouth, Illinois Stoneware Pottery store decades ago...the store is now closed. Vintage little pottery piece that could be used as a candy or jewelry dish, for Fall decoration or even as an ashtray or coin dish. It has a lovely maple leaf shape and is red speckled with white. Bottom is stamped “Western Stoneware Monmouth IL”. Measures 8-1/4” Tall x 8-1/4” Wide x 1” Tall. As you can see by the measurements, this is a shallow dish. The interior has some faint, raised leaf lines that certainly adds some unique character to it. Great preowned condition. Bottom has some small surface dents and imperfections that appear to have just been made this way. There are some raw pottery spots along edges/corners that again, just appear to be made this way. See last 4 pics. No chips/cracks besides these imperfections.
