Be it Optimism or Negligence on the part of the ARVN command this map shows an area of South Vietnam that had already been over-run by invading North Vietnamese and Viet Cong (National Liberation Front soldiers).
The only other possible reason for printing this map at this late stage would be to show how hopeless the task at hand had become with almost every town lost and many showing abandoned.
Printed by the RVNAF (Air Force of South Vietnam) in April 1975 this piece was destined never to see action (Saigon fell on the 30th of April 1975).
This piece is a very rare snapshot of Vietnam at the close of the war.
